Lab 2, the Duke VM and more systems for you to use

I copied the Duke VM into the depot folders on each of the CIS 191 lab systems. You can build your own VM's from an ISO of your choice to do Lab 2 or you can use the Duke VM. Duke is the same as the one we built in class (duel boot DOS/Fedora-8).

Don't use Red Hat 9 to do Lab 2. There is no support for making an initrd (initial ram disk) image that supports USB boots.

For doing CIS 191 labs there are now 3 systems in the CTC and 5 systems in the CIS Lab (room 2504) you can use. They all have VMware Server installed. The depot folder has VMs and ISO's. The depot folder is off the c: or d: drives.

I have also installed a NAS server which you may get "lab supplies" from. On Windows use: Start > Run > \\172.30.4.12\depot to access. This can only be accessed from the CIS Lab (room 2504). The username and password for the share are on the whiteboard in that room.
